Fasting is a great way to get rid of excess weight, but can also be used to cleanse your body from waste which has been built up over time. While cleansing your body from salts and other waste, fasting is a great method of encouraging healing and is also used to re-nourish the body. This is because of all that nutrition which you receive from the fresh fruit and vegetables. You can juice fast for as little as a few days to a little over month. While fasting you are still required to drink water. However you shouldn’t overdo it by drinking too much water. A simple tip to check whether you are getting enough water is to look at your urine. When your urine turns very lightly yellow you know you are drinking about the right amount of water. If it’s crystal clear you know you can reduce your water intake slightly.
Always drink water at room temperature or slightly warmer; never drink cold water as this could cause problems with your digestive system while fasting. Using distilled water is usually preferred by many during fasting. This is because of its ability to bind the toxins. Distilled water should only be used for short durations such as the length of your fast; this is because it can also bind essential minerals. After your fast you should be careful with your choice of foods and diet to ensure that you replace any minerals which may have been lost during your fast.
When fasting is combined with detailed juice fasting plans you ensure that you will reap all of the benefits from fasting as you are able to follow the fast more closely and keep motivated by reaching your own personal goals which you set on your plan!

Storing them in air-tight drink containers and popping them in the fridge will ensure that they're kept fresh for the next day. This prevents you from needing to use a juicer during the day, which may not be possible anyway if you're at work for example.

This is because you can write a list of all the ingredients which you will need for the next few days according to your juice fasting plans. If you follow this list in the supermarket you are less likely to stray off and start buying other products. You will also be saving money by following the list strictly as you are not buying in excess or unnecessary ingredients. Let's be honest, who doesn’t like saving money?


  • I mentioned earlier that Fasting is a great way to cleanse your body from excess waste, the following are some of the excess wastes/toxins which will be eliminated while juice fasting: Toxin wastes in the spleen, kidneys and liver, Excess cholesterol and also excess mucus from the sinuses and lungs, diseased and dying cells, fatty tissues, trans-fatty acids. These are just some of the wastes/toxins which will be eliminated while fasting which is a huge benefit to your body.


  • An additional benefit is that you can lose a huge amount of fat depending on how long you are fasting for. By fasting for up to a month some people have reached up to 30lbs of weight loss.
